If you're a parent, carer or professional who would like to make a referral on a young person’s behalf, complete our online Speak Up referral on behalf of a young person form.
Advocacy referrals should always be led by the wishes of the child. Where referrals are made on a young person’s behalf, there is an expectation that you will have verbal consent from the young person to do so. If this isn’t specified on your referral form, an advocate will contact you to discuss this. The only exception is referrals for non-instructed advocacy. For all referrals received, Speak Up aims to respond within 3 working days.
