When a young person is in care, the council acts in place of your parents
A corporate parent is any professional who is directly involved in the care and safeguarding of a child or young person who is in the care of the local authority.
The Corporate Parenting Board is a meeting where elected members, senior leaders within Children’s Services and care experienced young people come together to discuss the priorities and needs of children and young people in care and care leavers.
Corporate Parenting and Co-Production Advisors represent the views of young people at the Corporate Parenting Board.
