Our Priorities
To help identify the issues that are important to care experienced young people in York, the U Matter survey is offered every 2 years.
The U Matter survey is offered to all children and young people in care and care leavers between the ages of 11 and 25.
The survey helps Speak Up and Show Me That I Matter to identify issues that are important, and helps to identify key priorities that Show Me That I Matter will ask the Corporate Parenting Board to focus on.
Our Priorities for 2023 to 2024 include:
- apprenticeships for care experienced people
- mental health and access to information, support and services
